Welcome to the first official day of Blaugust 2023. It is a time when we can all celebrate blogging as an outlet for our thoughts and the things we enjoy while we build community connections. I have always watched this month and the content created on the periphery – never jumping into the fray. Something changed this year. I felt compelled to take part.

I think this is about starting over.

Blaugust Planning

My plan for the upcoming month is still in flux. It has been so long since I used this blog for any meaningful personal writing. I deleted much of the archive months ago. This blog was once focused on Minimalism. For a while, it was about video game reviews. Then, I tried to convert it to a gaming news website. I couldn’t maintain the output required.

Personal stories are what I should focus on right now. The end of Twitter has me rethinking so much over the past nine months. I haven’t taken the time to truly process what it means and where I want to go. Being on Mastodon, and not Twitter, finally made me participate in Blaugust. I need to explore how being on the Fediverse changes how I want to show up online.

Blaugust, for me, is about resetting my online presence. What does Blaugust mean for you?
